Welcome
Hello! And welcome to the first Early Career Teacher Programme newsletter of the spring term. Please read on for updates and reminders.
Engagement with the programme
We know that schools are facing yet another incredibly difficult few weeks or more in terms of attendance and staffing, and we have no desire to make your lives any harder. If you know that engagement with the programme is slipping due to the current circumstances, please drop us a line to let us know - we will make sure that we don't contact you until you're ready to resume. The programme is designed to be flexible, so do keep in touch with us.
ECT Conference
Having made the difficult decision to move these events online, we're nonetheless looking forward to catching up with all of our Early Career Teachers over the next two weeks. The full-day conference is being held on the 17, 18, and 26 January. The majority of ECTs have booked their place, and we would be grateful if you would do what you can to enable them to attend the full day. (Having said that, we have mitigation plans in place in case of a last-minute emergency - get in touch with us if that applies to your school.)
Coaching on Coaching
This is your final reminder for mentors to book their coaching on coaching session with their named coach - you will have received an email about how to do this. This coaching period runs up to half term.
More than ever, thank you for all you’re doing to make our ECTs feel welcome and supported in the profession.
