A message from Norwich Research School

We're getting ready to host our first in person researchED Norwich, taking place at Sewell Park Academy on Saturday 25 June! Speakers are being announced on Twitter - follow @researchEDNor to get all the information. We have the wonderful Oliver Caviglioli giving our keynote speech, and a whole range of speakers including Sarah Cottingham, Gary Aubin and Hydeh Fayaz.

Tickets are on sale now - just £30 including lunch and a whole day of research-informed educational talks. What's not to like?! We're looking forward to seeing you there.

What's new?

The DfE this week announced that funding for fully-funded NPQ training scholarships has been extended until the academic year 2023 to 2024. In addition, from autumn 2022 the organisations eligible to access scholarships have been expanded to include:

  • state-funded schools
  • state-funded 16 to 19 organisations
  • independent special schools
  • virtual schools (local authority run organisations that support the education of children in care)
  • hospital schools not already included in other categories of eligible organisations
  • young offender institutions

Local authority employed supply teachers will also be able to access scholarships.
