Welcome to the Julian Teaching School Hub teacher induction update for Induction Tutors and Headteachers. We send these termly to support you as you work with your ECTs on their induction.

If your school no longer has an ECT, you are free to unsubscribe from these emails.

This half term sees the deadline for term one/four progress reviews. If this is the first PR you've been asked to write, you can find an example document on ECT Manager: from your dashboard, go to content > resources. You can find lots of useful templates and documents here, including our induction handbook.

Please note that ECT Manager will automatically email you when PRs are due, and will send regular reminders should you miss the deadline. If you know you cannot meet the deadline, you should let us know as soon as possible.

We would like to thank you for all you're doing to make our ECTs feel welcome and supported in the profession.

Focus on... January 2025 starters

If your school employs an ECT for a January start, please let us know as early as possible.

You will need to complete a new service level agreement (SLA) for any new ECTs;  if you register them on ECT Manager before completing the SLA we will not authorise them until the paperwork is in place. You will also need to register them and their mentor on the DfE online service, Manage training for early career teachers.
