Find out everything you need to know about NPQs here.

Reminder... Registering September starters

The Manage Training for Early Career Teachers online service has been retired, replaced by Register Early Career Teachers (RECT). Here's what you need to know:

  • Access to RECT is via DfE sign-in. Multiple people from a school will be able to use RECT where previously only induction tutors were able to register participants. You may need to be granted access to RECT by an authorising person in your organisation.

You can find a series of short videos demonstrating how to use RECT here.

If you have any questions about this new service, please get in touch.

Registration for September 2026 starters opens on 15 June.

Focus on... Free stuff!

Free, DfE funded video resources with no cost to your school

All state schools in England are covered by the ERA Licence, funded by the DfE, which gives them the right to use a wide range of video and audio resources for teaching and learning from UK broadcasters such as the BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5 and more.

This means that every state school is entitled to free access to the ERA Streaming Platform, a curated collection of high-quality television and radio content that is:

  • Organised by subject
  • Aligned to the curriculum
  • Cleared for classroom use.

ERA helps teachers use video with confidence, removing common frustrations such as:

  • Unreliable or disappearing links
  • Adverts, pop-ups or low-quality content
  • Concerns around copyright compliance.

Instead, it provides ready-to-use video and audio that is searchable by subject and key stage, and suitable for lessons, assemblies, cover work, revision, enrichment and more.

Just Like Us: one month until School Diversity Week!

There's only one month to go until School Diversity Week – do you have everything you need? Remember all resources are available to download digitally from our resource library in the "School Diversity Week" folder.

Don't forget at the end of School Diversity Week on Friday 26th June, schools and colleges across the UK will be dressing in all the colours of the rainbow for Rainbow Friday! Is your school joining? Find out all the information you need in the School Diversity Week Guide. Free registration required.
