Date: 3rd February 2026
Time: 4pm to 5:30pm
Location: Virtual, via Zoom
This is not just another conference – it’s your chance to learn from two expert voices in educational technology and mentoring:
- Christian Turton, Educational Technology Lead at Chiltern Learning Trust, is a nationally recognised leader in digital innovation for schools. He has spearheaded projects that integrate AI into teaching and learning, ensuring technology enhances - not replaces - the human touch in education.
- Dan Smith, Deputy Director & Early Career Lead at Alban Teaching School Hub, brings knowledge and expertise in teacher development across all phases. Dan has shaped national policy and frameworks for mentoring, and his work ensures that AI is used ethically and effectively to support trainee and early career teachers.
Together, Christian and Dan have been instrumental in developing DfE guidance on AI for schools, collaborating with the Chartered College of Teaching to produce a comprehensive suite of resources for safe and impactful AI use in education. Their combined experience spans initial teacher training, early career development, and ongoing professional growth, making them uniquely positioned to guide mentors through this exciting new landscape.
At the conference, you will:
- Explore practical AI tools that enhance mentoring and professional practice
- Discuss ethical considerations for supporting trainee teachers
- Engage with mentors already applying AI in innovative ways
Don’t miss this opportunity to gain actionable insights from two leading experts and walk away with strategies you can apply immediately in your own mentoring practice.
Open to all mentors – from Initial Teacher Training to Early Career support.
