Which teacher training route is right for me?
Here at the Julian Teaching School Hub, we want to provide you with an overview of initial teacher training (ITT) routes. Listed below is an overview of ITT providers serving our region and their provision to enable you to make the right decision for you about your training to obtain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).

* If you are an experienced teacher with a degree, with GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths (or English, Maths and Science for the primary route), and you are currently employed in a school but do not yet have QTS, then you can apply for the Assessment Only route to QTS.
** To be ready for an apprenticeship you will have already secured employment or come to an agreement with a school who want to employ you and support you throughout your training year.
*** All providers will have the DFE-required 120 days in a school setting.
