Are you employing an ECT starting their induction in January 2023? When you know you will be employing an early career teacher, first contact us to let us know you want to work with us, and then follow the steps laid out in the flowchart at the bottom of this page ('Steps to take if you appoint an ECT in 2022-23').

Your ECT will need to attend an induction conference on Monday 23 January, 9am-4.30pm venue TBC.

If your ECT's mentor has not mentored on this programme before, they will need to attend an induction conference on Thursday 12 January, 9am-4.30pm venue TBC.

Please note: ECTs and their mentors who are starting their induction in January 2023 must be registered with the Julian Teaching School Hub and on the DfE portal no later than Monday 6 February 2023 in order for their induction period to be deemed to have started in January. Any ECTs registered later than this will be moved into the next cohort which begins in April 2023.
