NPQ News

By Sarah Bird, Deputy Director of the Julian Teaching School Hub.

As NPQ delivery partners, we at the Julian Teaching School Hub are looking forward to the first assessment window for our Teacher Development Trust (TDT) Autumn 2021 cohort. Here is an extract of some feedback from one of the participants:

The opportunities to collaborate were incredibly valuable particularly when we came from different contexts and roles. Personally this was a very powerful tool. I also found the opportunity to read 'think pieces' really refreshing and great to have the 'space' to do it!

Our Autumn 2022 participants have all been enrolled in their programme and will be invited to attend a National webinar week commencing 17 October.

The recruitment for Spring 2023 continues to be open for the following NPQs:

  • Leading Teacher Development (NPQLTD)
  • Leading Teaching (NPQLT)
  • Early Years Leadership (NPQEYL)
  • Leading Literacy (NPQLL)
  • Leading Behaviour and Culture (NPQLBC)
  • Senior Leadership (NPQSL)
  • Headship (NPQH).

We are particularly pleased that so many of our EENEL5 Primary Schools are sponsoring participants for the NPQLL. This qualification aims to develop knowledge and understanding of how to apply the evidence on leading literacy teaching.  If you would like to find out more about how this NPQ can benefit your school and create change and impact, click here

We are looking for additional NPQSL facilitators!

The Julian Teaching School Hub is seeking facilitators for the spring cohort of the NPQ in Senior Leadership. This will provide you with both the opportunity to share your expertise and professional experience to support leaders in your local area, and opportunities for your own professional development.

You will be trained in facilitation of asynchronous learning as well as synchronous webinars and face to face sense-making. You will network with other professionals nationwide and give feedback on, and input into, course materials and design through regular peer review sessions. You will also be trained in assessment using comparative judgement, with expertise provided by No More Marking and leading assessment experts Daisy Christodoulou and Dr Chris Wheadon.

This is an exciting opportunity for you as a leader to develop your experience and CV while facilitating the delivery of these prestigious and internationally-recognised qualifications.
