Spotlight on... Norfolk Music Hub

Releasing the musicianship in all young people by understanding and enhancing their musical capabilities.

If you regularly peruse the 'Our Partners' page of our website (and who doesn't?) you may notice a new logo recently added: we're delighted to draw your attention to the work of Norfolk Music Hub, a partnership of organisations and schools which engage with Norfolk’s children and young people in music making.

You can read all about what's going on at the Hub on their website, but here are some of the highlights:

  • Partnering with Gorleston Pavilion and Bandstand, Enjoy and Peach (Local Cultural Education Partners) and Suffolk Music Hub, Norfolk Music Hub presents a coronation celebration like no other. Including a Samba Celebration March, Sing for the King and more, this promises to be a fun-filled and exciting day. Plus, the King's coronation will be screened. Find out more.

  • Pupils from across Norfolk are invited to take part in The Grand Sing with Gareth Malone at the Royal Norfolk Show. Norfolk Music Hub has selected a fantastic arrangement of songs which will be hosted on Charanga and performed by young people from across Norfolk in the Grand Ring, led by Gareth Malone. Find out more.

  • Also taking place in the Grand Ring at the Royal Norfolk Show: Bucket Beats XL. Norfolk Music Hub is excited to invite you to join them in taking part in the largest percussion ensemble using recyclable materials! Celebrate this occasion with a performance of a newly commissioned piece to be performed by young people from across Norfolk on buckets and junk percussion. Find out more.
